Long-Distance Day Trip

A planned day out further afield: a family lunch, a conservation area, a wedding, a grave. The driver stays for the day.

From $90

Service options

Pick the ones that matter for your parent when you book. You can choose several, and you can change them next time.

  • A family gathering or celebration in another town

  • A day at a conservation area, lake or beauty spot

  • Visiting a cemetery or place of personal meaning

  • A specialist appointment in another city

  • Rest stops planned around your parent's comfort

  • The driver stays for the duration and brings them home

  • A wheelchair-accessible vehicle with a ramp or lift

Not every provider offers every option. Once you have chosen, we show you the vetted providers near your parent who offer what you picked, best matches first, with the iCaria Certified badge shown where it has been earned. Which one comes is always your decision, and you can keep asking for the same person.

Who this is for

Occasions your parent would otherwise miss because the distance makes it impossible.

Good to know

Book these further ahead than a local ride. A full day needs to be reserved with a driver in advance.

What it costs

This service starts at $90 in Canadian dollars, which covers getting there and the first part of the visit. Longer visits add a set charge for each extra 15 minutes, with a cap. A short visit is never charged more than the starting price.

That is a sample. Your parent's real price depends on their area and on the options you choose for the service, and you see it in the platform before you confirm anything.

Families also include these in their care plan

Most families do not book one service on its own. They build a monthly care plan, a few services on a regular rhythm, so their parent knows what to expect and the same trusted people keep coming back.
