Your relationship with us does not depend on a contract you have never seen.
No cancellation traps. No lead selling. No insurance gating. Just care, on your terms.
Four things we promise you, plainly
No cancellation traps
You can pause or stop any time. No annual contracts, no cancellation fees, no calls asking why.
We do not sell your information
Your family's contact details, your parent's address, your care needs: none of it is sold to third parties or shared with advertisers.
Every helper is checked before they reach your door
Identity verification, a criminal record check and two reference calls, done by our team, not a self-reported profile. Providers who complete our training carry the iCaria Certified badge on top.
You pay iCaria, not the individual
Payment goes through the platform. No cash, no e-transfers to individuals. Your money is protected and your transaction is recorded.
Every provider is verified before you see them
Government-issued ID. Background check. Reference calls. Only then does a provider appear on iCaria.
Your data is yours
All personal information is encrypted at rest and in transit.
You know exactly what happened
Real-time arrival notification. Timestamp when the visit starts and ends. A summary after every visit.
Families rate every visit
After each visit you can rate and review your provider, and that history follows them.
Training you can see on the profile
Providers who complete our courses on dignified care carry the iCaria Certified badge, shown on every profile, so you can favour it when you choose.

What happens if something goes wrong
Every booking is covered by our incident response process. If a helper does not show up, you are rebooked at no charge within 24 hours. If you have a concern about a provider, you submit it through the app and a staff member follows up, not a bot, not a form that disappears.
What iCaria is not
Not a directory where anyone can list themselves and message your family.
Not a platform that sells your contact details to care agencies as a lead.
Not a service where you find out who is coming when they are already at the door.
How we verify the people who show up
Before anyone can take a request, our team verifies a government photo ID, a live selfie and proof of address, contacts two personal references directly, and takes a signed Service Provider Agreement covering conduct, safeguarding, confidentiality and incident reporting. Drivers add licence, registration and insurance. That is the floor, and it applies to everyone.
iCaria Certified is what a provider earns on top of it by completing our training on dignity, safeguarding, fall prevention and emergency response. The badge shows on their profile and is renewed each year. We encourage you to favour it, and the choice stays yours.
We track how often something goes wrong, per thousand hours of care delivered. We will publish that number quarterly when we have enough data to make it meaningful. We are not there yet, but we are committed to it.

What happens if your helper does not show up
In the first seven days with a new helper, iCaria pre-stages a backup so your family is never left without cover on a first visit. After that, if a helper cancels within 24 hours of a booking, you receive an automatic substitution offer from your approved provider list. You are notified immediately. You are never left to figure it out alone.
Same-day cancellations are tracked in the provider's reliability record. Providers with repeated late cancellations are reviewed under iCaria's 90-day reliability window process.

When care is documented, everyone is protected
Every visit on iCaria has a start time, an end time, and a provider on record. If something goes wrong, there is a clear trail. The family knows what happened. The provider has documentation. And our support team can investigate with real information, not guesswork.
When care is arranged informally, none of this exists. There is no record of who came, when they arrived, or what happened. If something goes wrong, there is nothing to review and no one accountable. For something this important, structure is not overhead. It is protection.
Two layers of trust
The network is the same for every family. Some families also have a person who knows their parent's name.
Every helper and driver on iCaria is vetted before a single request: identity checked, references called, conduct agreement signed. That foundation is there for every family, whether you go on your own or choose a Family Advocate. Families who choose an advocate gain a second layer: a real person who notices a change in mood, a pattern of late arrivals, a concern that does not rise to 911 but matters all the same.
Advocates are not clinicians. Medical decisions belong to a doctor.
Advocates escalate to emergency services when needed. Safety is a practice, not a promise to be everywhere at once.
On your own does not mean alone. The same vetted network, the same safety infrastructure, always.

Our commitment to you
iCaria was built because arranging care for a loved one should not mean trusting a stranger from an app. You approve who comes. You see when they arrive. You know how it went. That is what iCaria is.
