For Care Providers

Families on iCaria come back for you. Not whoever is available. You.

Work with families who return because they know you. Match by language, background, and neighbourhood so the fit is real from the start.

Who we welcome

Care work that builds a relationship, not just a record.

iCaria families plan ahead, communicate clearly, and request the providers they trust. That is who you will work with.

At-Home Help

Daily household tasks, personal care, and routine assistance. Many helpers work with the same household for months.

Companionship

Social engagement, conversation, and emotional support. Not a one-off visit, but an ongoing relationship with someone who knows your client's stories.

Drive-Me Help

You take them to the appointment, you wait, and you bring them home. You learn the route, and you know what the appointment is for.

Nurse (coming soon)

Medical monitoring, wound care, and health oversight.

Physiotherapist (coming soon)

In-home mobility exercises and rehabilitation.

Meal Support (coming soon)

Nutrition planning and meal preparation assistance.

The families you will work with

Most iCaria families are adult children coordinating care for a parent from another city or time zone. They want a named, trusted person at their parent's door. Many come from immigrant or multilingual households, where language, food, and cultural fit matter as much as the tasks on the list.

These families come back. A provider who earns their trust gets requested by name, and word of mouth travels quickly in the communities they belong to.

What could you earn?

Set it to the work you would realistically take on. These are our real service rates, not an example.

You keep 100% of the service amount and 100% of every tip. Our fee is paid by the family, on top, and never comes out of your pay.

An estimate, not a guarantee of work or income. What you actually earn depends on your area, how much time you make available, the services you offer and how often families book you. Pay is calculated from real start-to-finish time in 15-minute steps, so a visit that runs long or short will differ from the figure above. New ways to earn are likely to open up as premium services are added.

Your path to iCaria Certified.

Step 01

Step 01

Apply in 10 minutes

Fill out your profile and upload your credentials. We review your application within 48 hours. No waiting weeks to hear back.

Step 02

Step 02

Complete a short onboarding

Understand how families use iCaria. Completing the training modules earns you the iCaria Certified badge.

Step 03

Step 03

Receive booking requests

You see the family, the task, and the rate before you accept. Families who trust you will request you again. The first booking is how the relationship starts.

Step 04

Step 04

Get paid, your way

Choose how you are paid: cash at the end of each visit, or secure monthly payouts for card-paid bookings. See your earnings clearly in your dashboard. The rate you saw when you accepted is the rate you receive. No hidden deductions after the fact.

What you actually take home

iCaria publishes its platform fee openly. You see exactly what the family pays and exactly what goes to you before you accept a booking. No surprises after the job. Mileage for drive-me services is included in the booking price, so you do not absorb travel cost out of your earnings.

Platform fee rates are shown at booking confirmation and on your provider earnings page. Rates vary by service and by the membership tier of the booking family.

Helpers and drivers choose from a range of services that match their skills.

iCaria Certified

A credential families recognize, not a checklist you rush through.

Every active provider is vetted: photo ID and proof of address checked, two references called, a Service Provider Agreement signed and renewed yearly. iCaria Certified is what you earn on top of that, by finishing the training modules in your provider portal. The credential is yours to keep. It stays on your profile, travels with your work history, and is still there if you take time away and come back. Families see the badge and are encouraged to favour it, so earning it early is the fastest way to get requested.

Why providers choose iCaria

Providers building trusted relationships with families

You set the schedule

You control your availability. Families book you for the times that work for you. No dispatcher assigns your hours.

Tools that save you time, not add to it

Route planning, visit notes, and family communication in one place. Less admin, more care.

A client base, not a shift list

Families who trust you request you by name. Your rating builds your reputation inside communities that trust word of mouth.

Local trust, not a cold match

When a Family Advocate recommends you to a family they support, the trust is already there before you arrive. The advocate knows that family well and has reviewed your profile personally. That is a different thing from being a name on a list sorted by distance. Families who arrive through an advocate are more likely to request you again, leave a review, and mention you to people they know.

A trusted provider welcomed by a local community

A fair process when something goes wrong

If a family raises a concern about you, iCaria does not deactivate you silently. You are notified, you can respond, and a staff member reviews both sides before any action is taken. We track your reliability over time. A single complaint does not define your record. Providers who maintain a strong 90-day reliability window have additional protections under our review process.
